As of 9/1/21, SLO County has reinstated the indoor mask mandate: Please wear a mask even if you are vaccinated. According to CDC Guidance, vaccinated individuals who become infected can equally transmit the virus. See CDC link for verification info.
Your safety is our priority. Please self-check your own temperature. If you have any symptoms of illness, please reschedule your appointment and your therapist will do the same. Your therapist will wear a NIOSH approved, N95 mask inside the treatment room, and a surgical mask outside the treatment room. Your therapist's husband is an immunocompromised, high risk patient with a fragile airway, so she will be wearing N95's indefinitely. Even if you are vaccinated, please be conscientious and wear your mask in our office to cut down the risk.
We must limit the use of our waiting room. If you have a companion, they need to wait outside the building. We are spacing appointments out in longer intervals to reduce foot traffic and allow for deep cleaning. Sometimes, you may cross paths with another client who is arriving or leaving. We use 70% isopropyl alcohol to sanitize surfaces after every session. Our massage room has a ventilation fan attached to the window and we can circulate fresh air into the room. We are also using a certified HEPA air purifier that helps reduce 99.9% of allergens, bacteria, and certain airborne viruses. As usual, all treatment linens, towels, and face cradle covers are laundered for each client. Underneath the linens, the face cradle and massage table have polyurethane covers that we sanitize between sessions. Your therapist thoroughly washes hands and uses an alcohol solution before entering the treatment room. If you are receiving ashiatsu massage, this protocol also applies to feet.
